Authentic Austrian Cuisine in the Heart of Jindabyne In the 1940s many Austrians, Germans and Swiss made Australia home and were eager to start a new life in a new land, bringing new ideas, customs and cuisines. Drawn to the Australian Alps by the Snowy Mountains Hydro Scheme they became part of the Snowy family. The Austrian celebrates their contribution and their lasting impact on our region.
