The little birds are some of the brightest gems in the mountains
Coming in a range of colours and shapes they stand out against the white snow. Not just standing out in vibrancy but also in attitude many of these birds do well in the snow despite their small size. The snow often does not last long, melting and bringing small worms to the surface. Other birds like the robins will follow lyrebirds and eat what the larger birds miss as they turn over the soil and snow. Birds like the thrush’s and tree creepers hunt in the bark of trees and this the snow doesn’t affect them at all 1: Pink Robin 2: spotted pardalote 3: flame robin 4: yellow robin 5: superb fairy wren 6: yellow faced honeyeater 7: white eared honeyeater 8: grey shriekthrush 9: brown thornbill 10: white throated tree creeper @nikonaustralia #nikoncreators #charlesdavisgallery
