πŸš› History in motion! πŸš›

While most of the state was sleeping on the weekend, one of the biggest road movements in New South Wales’ history was taking place! The second of six massive spiral cases for the Snowy 2.0 power station made its 442-km night time journey from Port Kembla to the Snowy Mountains over the weekend. Each spiral case weighs 153 tonnes and spans over 13 metres long. The convoy - 63 metres long and 330 tonnes in combined weight - required three prime movers and a specialised trailer. Safety is our number one priority, with police escorts and support vehicles ensuring a smooth trip along the Snowy Mountains roads. This monumental move is one of many in the months and years ahead, paving the way for Snowy Hydro's cutting-edge Snowy 2.0 pumped-hydro power station at Lobs Hole. #snowy2 #spiralcase #construction #projectnews #delivery
