JINDABYNE BLOKE WANTS AUSSIE'S TO BBQ THEIR PROMLEMS THIS AU DAY
A Jindabyne fella is encouraging all Australians to whack their problems on the barbie this Australia Day. He is talking about feral animal problems. “Is there anything more Aussie than BBQing your issues” Rocky Harvey, proprietor of Rockstock Deli said. “It feels bloody good improving the environment just by eating”. Mr Harvey claimed that he was unlikely to get much of a turn out to a tree planting party on our national day but “good snags and cold booze and they’ll swarm like blowies” “We’re lucky here in the Snowies, our most prolific feral animal are deer and we’ve got a couple a licensed outfits harvesting them. They make a great snag, burger or steak. I do feel for the fella’s up north though aye. I dunno how good a cane toad burger would taste and I’ve heard they’re a bugger to fillet. They might give you a bit of a gut ache too unless you can find a flash Japanese chef to carve ‘em, but nothing that a good splash of rum wont cure I wouldn’t think. Them boys up north are a tough mob.” In parting, Harvey causally mentioned that he had just finished making a batch of fresh wild venison and fennel sausages and that “the shop is stocked with all sorts of good sh#t, venison backstrap, burgers and stag snags. There’s even some venison dice if you wanna get all fancy and make kebabs.” Rockstock Deli is on the upper level of Nuggets Crossing, opposite the post office. Drop in, stock up and do your part in improving the environment this Australia Day
