Weather Incoming today

Today is going to be a wild one in the mountains. Winds have increased overnight and will continue to increase today, reaching over 100km/h about the peaks, so many lifts are likely to be on wind hold. Showers will develop this morning in the Victorian resorts and then extend into NSW this afternoon. The showers will turn to heavy rain that will continue throughout the night, causing damage to the snow cover. A cool change will arrive in the early hours of tomorrow and we will see heavy snowfalls and blizzard conditions. As to how much snow we will see by daybreak, that is up to what time the temps get below zero, the earlier the better. Heavy snowfalls Monday with blizzard conditions at times. Roads will be snow affected tomorrow morning and chains will be required throughout the day. Allow extra time for travel if heading up or down tomorrow. Light snow flurries on Tuesday and then snow showers developing again on Wednesday. Thursday mostly cloudy with gusty winds. Friday and the weekend looking a treat with light winds.🐸 Long Range Forecast: https://www.snowatch.com.au/long-range-forecast/ 15 Day Resort Forecasts: https://www.snowatch.com.au/15-day-forecasts/
