Short Term Outlook

It's not good news in the mountains this morning with the expected rain damaging the thinning cover. It was also windy in the north with the top of Thredbo reporting gusts over 100km/h this morning. So far Thredbo has received 43mm, Perisher 34mm, Falls Creek 31mm, Hotham 22mm, Mt Buller 11mm. Rain will continue this morning and ease to showers during the and night, so unfortunately more damage the cover. Mountain Ops staff will have to assess the damage this morning and then make a call on which lifts/runs will close (and there should be quite a few). Showers will ease to light drizzle in the morning and then clear tomorrow. Following this we should see mostly sunshine for the following 5 days. 🐸
