Short Term Outlook

Yesterday wasn't much fun out there with strong winds seeing many lifts on hold, so skiing and boarding was very limited. Overnight winds have remained strong and we did have some light showers that have damaged the thin snow cover. Winds will be strong about the peaks and could affect lift operations, so check resort boards and websites for updates on what lifts will run today. Hotham announced yesterday that Sunday will be their last day of operations (and looking at the forecast I don't think they will be the only one, but wait for official calls on that) Today will see light showers developing early in the Victorian resorts and extending up into NSW this afternoon and continuing into the night. This will damage the existing snow cover and we could see a further reduction in lifts/runs open. Friday will see strong winds that may affect lifts once again, and then heavy rain developing overnight and continuing into Saturday. Showers and strong winds Saturday, and this could be enough to see an early end to the season, lets hope not.🐸 Long Range Forecast: https://www.snowatch.com.au/long-range-forecast/ 15 Day Resort Forecasts: https://www.snowatch.com.au/15-day-forecasts/
