Beat The Burn Jindabyne Charity Night - Snowy Mountains Magazine
Fire Rescue NSW Firefighters will be converging on the NRMA Holiday Park at Jindabyne from all over the state beginning March 11 to lay down their hoses and put their heroes in the Burns Unit first. Beat The Burn is an annual fundraiser organised by FRNSW Firefighters. It consists of two components being the physical event in Jindabyne and the virtual event across the state at each local FRNSW Fire Station. Over a period of five days, nearly 70 FRNSW and ACT firefighters will be road cycling, mountain biking, running, hiking and paddling through the Kosciuszko National Park. Around the state, firefighters will be competing in our virtual event from their very own fire station. Fire crews will be able to utilise their treadmills, spin cycles and rowing machines in an all out competition to see which FRNSW Fire Station can travel the most kilometres. Each day will be dedicated to a kid currently doing it tough in the Burns Unit with the firefighters knowing that the pain that they are going through is nothing compared to what these kids have been through.
